Document requirements
| Document | Status | Scope | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Passport valid for at least six months | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Article 35 requires a passport or travel document valid for at least six months. Use the same passport for pre-enrolment and travel and prepare its scan for the online file. Confirm the authority's applicable validity reference date and boarding instructions; no extra blank-page count is inferred. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Online pre-enrolment with the correct purpose and supporting scans | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Create an account through evisacam.cm or evisacam.com as linked by MINREX. Complete the tourist short-stay application accurately and scan the supporting records separately. Review the file before finalising. The reviewed public procedure does not establish a universal photograph size, upload size, copy count or every authenticated attachment field. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Application reference and official fee receipt | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Pay the actual government amount displayed for the selected visa and service using the accepted payment method; MINREX lists Visa/Mastercard payment and a downloadable receipt. Retain the application reference and applicable receipt or fee-status record. Government charges are separate from any Enuncia services; payment is not approval. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Competent-mission enrolment decision or authorised border-issuance route | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Follow the competent or geographically nearest Cameroonian mission's instructions. Applicants living in the mission city receive the enrolment appointment; remote applicants may request online authorisation for border issuance under Articles 29–33. Being Indian or applying online does not itself grant that authorisation. Attend the required biometric enrolment or use the border route only when actually authorised. Published ordinary/express processing periods are not guaranteed travel clearance. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Issued visa or actual QR border-issuance authorisation and supporting originals | required | border entry or exit | Example from this named route only. Before travel, obtain the visa or the actual authorisation permitting visa issuance at the border, as directed by the competent authority. Check that identity matches the passport and carry the documents used in the file. For authorised border issuance, officials verify the documents, enrol biometrics and issue the visa under Article 32. A submitted application or payment receipt does not replace approval or guarantee entry. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Required international vaccination certificates, including yellow fever | required | border entry or exit | Example from this named route only. Articles 34–36 require the international vaccination certificates required by public-health rules. CDC's Cameroon entry table requires yellow-fever vaccination for all arriving travellers aged one year or older, including this adult cohort. Carry the applicable international certificate and confirm any further current health-document instructions. This is document guidance; a medical exception must be resolved with the competent health and border authorities, not assumed from this guide. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Return or round-trip transport ticket, or applicable customs carnet | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Article 35 requires a return or round-trip transport ticket or, where applicable, a carnet de passage en douane. Use the alternative appropriate to the actual means of travel; this does not require an air ticket and customs carnet together. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Evidence of the actual purpose and conditions of the visit | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Tourism itinerary or other evidence establishing the purpose and conditions of the holiday; do not substitute a work or study plan. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Evidence of stay conditions and sufficient means | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Provide evidence of the conditions of the stay and sufficient means of subsistence under Article 35. The provision does not prescribe a universal bank-statement period or minimum balance; follow the competent authority's actual request. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Mayor-endorsed host certificate, organised-event invitation or firm hotel booking | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Article 35 provides alternatives: a host accommodation certificate endorsed by the territorially competent Mayor, an invitation to an organised event, or a firm hotel reservation covering the intended stay. Use the applicable alternative; all three are not universally required. A plain host note should not be presented as the Mayor-endorsed certificate. No blanket notarisation or apostille is established. |
| India to Cameroon tourist short-stay visa checklist: Mission order, if applicable | conditional | visa application | Example from this named route only. Article 35 requires an ordre de mission where applicable. Provide it when the actual trip is a mission requiring one; do not invent an employer mission order for every private tourist, hosted visitor or patient. |
| India to Cameroon business short-stay visa checklist: Passport valid for at least six months | required | visa application | Example from this named route only. Article 35 requires a passport or travel document valid for at least six months. Use the same passport for pre-enrolment and travel and prepare its scan for the online file. Confirm the authority's applicable validity reference date and boarding instructions; no extra blank-page count is inferred. |

Articles 28–33 govern online application and mission or authorised border enrolment. Articles 34–36 list transit, short-stay and long-stay documents. Only long-stay visas can allow professional activity or study under Article 26; category-specific authorisations remain necessary. Articles 4–9, 12, 17–18 distinguish private visits, tourism, business, invited events, treatment, students and dependent family. Articles 47 and 5152 require relationship evidence, an authorised resident with housing and stable sufficient resources, and a sponsor-filed family-reunification request to immigration services.

- Government of India Ministry of External AffairsMEA: Cameroon eVisa facility for ordinary Indian passportsmea.gov.inLast checked 2026-10-28; evidence version cameroon-mea-eligibility-20261028
Cameroon is listed as providing an eVisa facility to Indian nationals holding ordinary passports. This corroborates nationality eligibility, not every purpose's document list or permission for automatic border issuance.

The country entry requirement is yellow-fever vaccination for all arriving travellers aged one year or older. The separate clinical recommendation from nine months is not the entry-rule age threshold. The decree also requires the international vaccination certificates required by public-health rules.
- Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon: Decree 2025/059 of 28 February 2025Current resident-card decree: Articles 9–10, 29–35 and 45–52, PDF pages 4–5, 12–13 and 16–17prc.cmLast checked 2026-10-28; evidence version cameroon-resident-decree-2025-059-20261028
Article 30 applies Articles 9–10 online pre-enrolment, stamp payment and physical enrolment to resident cards. Article 32(1)(a) requires the stay card renewed for the second time or resident card, valid at least one month before expiry; passport certified true copy less than three months old; domicile certificate from competent Mayor or Police Commissioner; special criminal-record extract; current tax-compliance certificate. Articles 33–35 provide provisional identification, issue within 48 hours after validation, and ten-year validity. Article 45 requires collection at the enrolling post in exchange for provisional identification within twelve months of collection notification. Article 49 preserves existing cards until expiry; Article 51 provides progressive implementation; Article 52 repeals 2023/147 Articles 37–45.
- Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon: Decree 2023/147, Article 20Resident-category eligibility: Article 20, PDF page 4prc.cmLast checked 2026-10-28; evidence version cameroon-resident-category-2023-147-20261028
The ordinary resident category includes persons under Article 13 who have lawfully stayed in Cameroon for at least six consecutive years. Separate categories concern Cameroonian spouses subject to law and recognised religious congregations. Article 20 is outside the 2025 decree's express repeal of Articles 37–45; the card document requirements now come from 2025/059 rather than the superseded Article 42.

The new identity-title system starts with online pre-enrolment and payment, followed by selection of an identification post and appointment. DGSN directs users to idcam.cm and describes verification code, information form, payment, appointment and printable PDF, then physical verification of certified supporting records and originals and biometric capture. Its CNI-specific birth/nationality documents and CNI fee are not foreign-resident-card requirements; resident-card rules are Articles 30–32 of the decree.
